So I realized today that I am entirely too familiar with "business conversations." I'm so tired of conversations about the weather or how the holidays were... When can we talk about how often people use the restroom, how ol' boy's fly is down, or about my boss's hidden tattoo? Why do we have to wear fancy clothes to sit at computers all day? I don't care. I take off my shoes and put my feet up in my stiff chair with me every day. I'm not stiff. I have drawings tacked onto my carpeted cubicle frame. What of it? I think of it as "personality coming out" versus "disrespect." Don't push me, motha licka.
So I'm going to the show of my dear friend and fellow musician (Adam Dale) tonight at City Bar. Adam is one of the best vocalists I know, and is an amazing guitarist as well. He just released a new album entitled Pelican, I believe. It seems to be more poppy than his previously released album, which consists of more quirky, indie guitar-driven songs. However, I am PUMPED to hear his new stuff! If you're reading this and live in Shreveport, LA (chances are slim) COME!!! It will be a blast, I promise. :)
